Kawasaki ER-6n

The Essence Of Motorcycling
For motorcyclists, whether new to two wheels or long-term riders,
the essence of motorcycling, the freedom that riding on two wheels
provides, is sometimes difficult to express.
With a reputation for innovative motorcycles delivering the performance
sought by enthusiasts the world over, Kawasaki have now taken
the refreshing and imaginative step of combining their engineering
prowess and an awareness of contemporary design, with the introduction
of the stunning all-new ER-6n.
Conceived at the exclusive Kawasaki design facility in Akashi,
Japan, the ER-6n represents a bold new era for Kawasaki and fresh
opportunities both for existing riders and those who have previously
not considered the merits of motorcycling.
A machine for riders of all ages
and abilities whether male or female, the core appeal of the
ER-6n is that of a motorcycle at the very cutting edge of contemporary
design, just as pleasing to look at as it is to ride.
Incorporating ergonomics perfectly suited to a variety of riders,
the ER-6n makes optimum use of a compact two-cylinder engine
to deliver a sleek chassis that is extremely manoeuvrable and
fun-to-ride.
For new riders, the ER-6n experience will grow and mature along
with theirs. For existing riders, the machine will reawaken in
them the very essence of the motorcycle riding sensation, providing
a broad spread of useable engine power matched to a chassis that
is outstanding in both visual and engineering terms.
The ER-6n represents a single-minded vision for the Kawasaki
company, a vision born of a passionate commitment to offering
the sheer enjoyment that motorcycling represents to the widest
possible audience.
In an age where transport alternatives all shout for attention,
the ER-6n evokes the elusive essence of Kawasaki's commitment
to fun, thrills and freedom on two wheels, crafted and distilled
into one distinctive statement.
Features
Essential Riding
Sharp contemporary styling is
not all that sets the ER-6n apart from the crowd, although its
freshness and individuality are strikingly clear - this bike
is sharp on the move too, with a responsive diamond-style trellis
frame and an all-new 649cc parallel twin engine delivering great
torquey power.
Positive feedback
Effi cient petal disc brakes provide superb feel and strong braking
performance, with the option of front and rear ABS for technologically
enhanced stopping power.
Understated over-achiever
The mass-centralising under-engine muffler doesn't just open
up chassis space with its sharp minimalist design a 3-way
catalyser ensures the ER-6n meets stringent Euro-III emission
regulations a full year early.
Personal touches
Riders can choose from a range of Kawasaki Genuine Accessories
including a windshield, top case, upgrade mirrors, mini indicator
kit and frame protectors.
Geometry of style
An elegant fl ash of fairing complements an eye-catching trellis
frame of coated high-tensile steel, in turn linked to a colour-matched
triangulated swingarm and off-set laydown rear suspension.
Sculpted fuel tank
Sculpted fuel tank conforms to
the rider's legs and is narrow at the rear, allowing riders to
keep their legs close together.
Form and function
Stacked twin lamps dominate a lean and aggressive headlight unit.
Perched in the instrument cluster above, a classic analogue tachometer
keeps you in touch with engine performance while a vibrant LCD
screen digitally monitors your progress.
ABS (optional)
In addition to the very effective petal disc brakes, customers
looking for an added degree of reassuring braking performance
can also choose models with front and rear ABS (available in
certain markets).
