Hard
Rock Cafe Signature T-Shirt Inspired By Bruce Springsteen
Hard Rock International today unveiled
its latest Signature Series T-Shirt, inspired by Bruce Springsteen.
Featuring the designs of 21 musicians to date, Hard Rock Cafe's
Signature Series has raised millions of dollars for a number
of charitable causes worldwide. The new Bruce Springsteen T-shirt
benefits World Hunger Year (WHY) - a nonprofit organization that
strives to eliminate hunger and poverty by creating and promoting
innovative programs and policies.
The Springsteen T-shirt features a drawing of one of Bruce's
favorite guitars, set on a black T-shirt. The Bruce Springsteen
Signature Series T- shirt is available at Hard Rock locations
in Europe, the U.S. and Canada and at www.hardrock.com. The shirt comes in classic
men's sizes and, for the first time in Signature Series history,
is also available in a ladies "junior baby-doll" T-shirt.
Springsteen is a member of World Hunger Year's Artists Against
Hunger & Poverty, a group of musicians who actively work
to combat these two social problems. Springsteen was introduced
to World Hunger Year by the late singer- songwriter Harry Chapin
who founded the organization with radio talk show host and current
Executive Director Bill Ayres in 1975.
"Bruce Springsteen and Hard Rock Cafe both share a social
consciousness that benefits a number of charities and organizations
including World Hunger Year," said Hamish Dodds, President
and Chief Executive Officer, Hard Rock International. "Hard
Rock has actively supported World Hunger Year for years and we
are thrilled to partner with Mr. Springsteen to raise money for
a great organization that envisions a world without hunger and
poverty.
Hard Rock Cafe, committed to a wide variety of philanthropic
causes and activities worldwide, developed the concept of partnering
with world-renowned musicians and artists to design T-shirts
for charity in 1990. For this unique venture, musicians create
and donate imaginative designs to be reproduced onto T-shirts
to benefit the artist's favorite charity. Signature Series T-shirts
have been designed by music superstars including Eric Clapton,
Elton John, Sting, Peter Gabriel and Michael Stipe, raising millions
for a wide variety of organizations, such as Crossroads Centre
Antigua, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Special Olympics and
WITNESS.
This year, Hard Rock Cafe is offering both the new Bruce Springsteen
Signature Series T-shirt as well as last year's popular Eric
Clapton Signature Series T-Shirt, in men's and women's styles.
