Ducati XR900 and Scrambler
The new range of Ducati-Bianchi
'high-powered' bicycles has been presented to the Italian press
at the 64th International Bicycle Exhibition in Milan. The bikes
are a result of close collaboration between Ducati and Bianchi,
two prestigious Italian brands famous throughout the world for
their success in sport and racing competition in particular.
This exclusive range of bicycles, which will be distributed throughout
the world in specialized shops only from January 1st 2007, is
the result of the combination of a captivating young design and
meticulous materials research.
The products in this brand-new range have been made with the
best technology available on the market today in terms of performance
and safety: this includes high modulus carbon fibre (Tube to
Tube technology), which guarantees precise combinations among
the individual tubes thus obtaining a high stiffness/weight ratio,
Hydro-forming aluminium which pushes stiffness levels above the
limit, and precious Hyperalloy, which makes the frame lighter
and enhances resistance to shock impact.
Factory, Scrambler and Panigale
are the three models available in the Ducati-Bianchi range. Factory,
like the official Ducati Corse motorcycles, for the four racing
bicycles; Scrambler, the name of one of the most trend-setting
Ducati bikes of the 1970s, for the three mountain bikes; and
finally Panigale, the area on the outskirts of Bologna where
the legendary Ducati factory can be found, for the fashion street
bike of the range. These eight exclusive bicycles stand out for
their essential and clean design but above all for their Ducati
red colour, which has always been the symbol of the racing division
of the famous Italian manufacturer.
