World Superbike SBK: First
Contact with new ZX-10R for Kawasaki Corse
Today Kawasaki PSG-1 Corse team'
s riders had the first contact with the new version 2008 of ZX-10R.
Regis Laconi who had already tested the bike in Japan confirmed
the difference of the new bike from last season model while
Makoto Tamada seated for the first time on it and together
with the team he started to work to adapt the faster as possible
the frame geometry to his ride style making just few laps and
returning to the box telling to the team all the variation and
then back on the track to reach his goal.
Speaking about the engineering, PSG-1 Corse's technicians are
comparing all the telemetry data got today with the results
they already had from desk tests in order to co figurate the
new engines in the best way for this circuit of Jerez.
Kawasaki PSG-1 Corse team has already marked a power increase
of the engines and is quite satisfied of the evolution.
Tomorrow the team will focus on the adaptability of the
new powers to the frame geometries which will be developed even
more and on the tyre's choice. Today both the riders used a soft
tyre on the front and a medium-hard on the rear.
